Today has been so much fun! Exhausting but still so much fun. Halloween started at Aunt Laura's office, she was so nice to invite Lucy and I there. We only stayed for a little bit though because Lucy was a little cranky and we still had two more stops. Our next stop was Wal-Mart ISD, Daddy's office, where we got to meet his team and they got to meet Lucy! Lucy really enjoyed her dad's office, we are looking forward to next year when we can walk the aisles with the rest of the kids!! Our final stop was at the church where they were having trunk or treat, where you trick or treat out of the back of cars! After all of the Halloween activities Lucy came home and went straight to bed, which is great for me because I am going to do the same.
In case you are wondering, Lucy is the Razorback Fairy, her fairy powers won't start to work until next season though...
Here we are at Daddy's work, she was having a great time....until... she got really tired and needed a nap... This is after she woke up and she was ready to party again.
This is Manna and Emma Grace at Trunk or Treat at the church, Emma has on a tutu just like Lucy's except it is pink and green...
Here is Taylor the Dinosaur! He was super scary! Here we are getting a little restless....
This is just a reminder for myself.... Jonathan and I went on our first date since having Lucy. Yes, it only took us three months! Manna offered to babysit and I jumped on the opportunity to get out for the night. Jonathan and I went to Does in Bentonville to get a steak. I'm not sure what we use to talk about before Lucy but the two hours that we were out the conversation revolved around her. By the end of the meal I was ready to go get my baby. Isn't that silly, two hours and I missed her so much. Lucy got an A+ from her Manna. Manna said that she didn't cry or scream (which she usually does) but instead she just looked around (mom said she had to change positions like 100 times, I think Lucy might be a little ADD) and they laughed at her monkey rattle and then took a bath, after her bath she wanted a little bit of a bottle and then she fell asleep. I was amazed, I think mom might have been lying because Lucy never just falls asleep but it was encouraging to see that she doesn't always need her Mom. (Manna said it was the Johnson and Johnson Bedtime Wash that put her to sleep, we use it every night in our Fisher price bathtub so I don't know if that was her trick)
I now do my grocery shopping on the weekend where Jonathan can watch Lucy and I can go to the store by myself to get everything that we need. I didn't make it there this week so yesterday Lucy and I went to Wal-Mart. I have taken her to Wal-Mart once before and she screamed the entire time we were there. So I was hesitate to take her yesterday but we needed dog food and stew ingredients. I am proud to say she was great. She sat in her car seat and just looked around. She did start to cry when we were checking out but that was okay. Can you believe it 30 minutes in Wal-Mart without crying!!!! She is growing up.
SO, if you mention brands in your blog sometimes the brand will show up in your ads, just testing it out.
I'm really proud of Lucy's room and I haven't shown any pictures yet. I thought this would be a good opportunity since one I have pictures and two Lucy is asleep and I have time to upload them. Anyway... here is her very girly pink nursery. We still have a few things that we want to do like hang this really cute wall growth chart on the wall and I want to add some shelving above the green shelves to put my doll collection that I have given to Lucy but she is not allowed to play with and maybe hang some curtains. I haven't decided I think there is still time....yes I know most people want their nursery's completed before the baby arrives but not me. Everything is a work in progress.... When I think things are done that's when I get the best ideas and so it is a never ending process!
This is Lucy's Bed with those beautiful letters that Laura's friend Candice made for us.
I love the big window in this room! I'm so glad I talked Jonathan into giving up his study so Lucy could have it for her room.
I love the animal watercolor picture above the changer!
Here is a glimpse of her bedding with some animals we keep in it.
I can't believe it has already been three months. Everyone said it would go by fast enjoy everyday of it and I didn't believe them... time has gone by so fast!! In the past three months Lucy has learned how to roll over, laugh out loud, giggle, she tries to pull up when she sits in my lap and countless other things. She is now easier to handle. Those of you who have met Lucy know that she is a little on the fussy side.....but she gets better everyday. I remember back to about week two of her life everyone told me and all the books said that things will get easier at 3 months. I don't know what I expected but this morning I woke up and thought of this....things hadn't changed much from yesterday but they have changed since that 2 week mark. (I just had to give up caffeine and dairy to make things better)
Here is a trip down memory lane....
After being with Lucy for three months I can already tell the person she is going to be. Lucy is going to be the center of attention (one way or another), she is going to be bossy and when things don't go her way she is going to let everyone know how she feels. I love this because I know she will also be assertive but also consiterate of other people, yes she will boss them around and she will always get her way but she will also be sweet, (you can see this by the way she looks at you).
Today Lucy and I went to the promenade to meet with GrandCookie and Connie Mitchel. We had a good time looking around (we spent most of the time in the dressing room eating) and we had a great lunch at PF Chang. We love when GrandCookie comes to town, Lucy was really excited to see her. You could tell that she knew who she was because as soon as she saw her she got a huge grin on her face.
Here is a picture in her blue jeans, pretend like it is turned the right way.
Just a couple of Pictures of Lucy playing with her animals. She likes to suck on her bears nose. (It's really cute) This is what we did today during "awake time" we read like 15 books and then played with her animals or "lovies" as Taylor would call them.
Last night Jonathan got a headache.......it turned into the stomach bug. I pray that Lucy doesn't get it I don't think her little body can handle it.
On a bright note, Lucy slept 12 hours last night. I woke up in a panic and ran to her room and when I looked in her crib I saw this huge smile looking back at me. It was like she knew what she did and she was so proud of herself. I was so proud of her once I knew she was okay.
Lucy in the "Dad Recliner" Getting ready for her bath All lotioned up, ready for bed.
We all made it through the stomach bug. I was the only one who actually had it but Jonathan and Lucy made it through it too. I was so proud of Jonathan! He was finally able to give her a bottle. (she wouldn't take it at first) He played with her all day. He put her to sleep. He changed her. He was really Mr. Mom. It's not that I didn't think he could do it, it's just that he has never had to do everything for an entire day.
I'm so sad that we won't be able to make it down to Arkadelphia for the reunion and we are all sad that we won't get to see Grandcookie or Papaw. Maybe next time.
So I caught the stomach bug that has been going around. I am so sad. We were all packed up and ready to go to Arkadelphia for the weekend to see Grandparents and go to Jonathan's highschool reunion. Instead of having a fun weekend we are at home. I have been in bed all day except to write this email because I've been so bored and Jonathan has been taking care of Lucy. I haven't even gotten to hold her today. I feel like I have missed a whole day of her life.
Today Manna, Taylor, Lucy and I went on an adventure! We traveled all the way to the War Eagle Mill. The craft fairs are about to start so we thought it would be a good time to go out there to see the fall decorations and the old mill without having to battle a crowd. We had a good time but by the end of the day Lucy and I were exhausted! That is okay, we have an entire day to rest and pack until we have to travel again. We are getting so excited about our first trip down to Arkadelphia!
Lucy and Mommy
Lucy smiling at her hands.
Lucy and the pumpkins Lucy now does this new thing where she will hold on to her blanket and sometimes chew on it and other times hide her face. Making sure her legs are still there.
At the end of the day you should surround yourself with the people you love... which is our BFF, Emma Grace!Lucy is disgusted with something.
Lately, Lucy and I have been going on stroller walks. I have learned that she loves to ride in her stroller without the car seat. I think it is because she can see where she is going.
Yesterday, Lucy, Manna and I went shopping. I have been looking for something to where to Jonathan's high school reunion this weekend and have not really been successful. Right now I'm going to where a potato sack, I think it would be quite flattering. Oh well. (side note: there is a reason why they only want you to gain 30 pounds when you are pregnant, the first 25 comes off right away...I wish I would have listened)
Some more news....... 1.Lucy is on the verge of laughing, she has this high pitch squeal that she does and then goes huh huh.
2. My parents are moving to Baton Rouge and we are so sad. My dad was offered a job there and he plans to work there for 3-5 years but knowing my dad it will probably be 10 years and then they plan on moving back. They are keeping the farm, which we all love, and the Coble's are going to move into it. I am excited that they are going to move into the house, it would break my heart if my parents sold it and this way we can have our weekly pizza night over there still! I am also so excited that my parents get to start a new adventure and it doesn't make me sad because I know they will be back and they will visit all the time.

Lucy thinking hard about something...
Lucy getting ready for her bath(I couldn't rotate this picture)
Lucy so happy in her bath time. I highly recommend the fisher price bathtubs, Lucy loves hers!
I have been telling Jonathan about Lucy rolling over everytime I put her on her belly, so when he got home from work early today we tried it..... She didn't do it for him. Here are some pictures of her trying.
After trying so hard to roll over they instead decided to relax for a little bit
