Our Weekend!

The past week in a nutshell:

Thursday-spent the day at Manna and G-daddy's and enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving Feast with them and the Coble Family. (we missed you Emily)

Friday- Laura and I got up at 3 to go shop the sales. (nothing was worth getting up that early)
For the past 2 weeks I have been pumping milk in preparation for this day. Mom was going to babysit and we weren't sure how long we were going to be out so I wanted to make sure I had at least a days worth... I ended up with about 16-18 ounces. Well that morning we left around 4:15 and we arrived at walmart at 5. It was so crazy, we could barely move inside it was so crowded with buggies and people and pallets of goodies. I'm not sure it was worth saving 10 dollars over but we enjoyed the thrill. We were out of walmart at 5:25. It was the fastest trip! So after walmart we went to Target. Target didn't open until 6 so we had a little time to wait. We waited in the car and watched all the people line up outside the doors. There was a line from Targets front doors to Kohl's front doors. It looked like a Disney land line. We did not stand in line because it was cold and we didn't want to. So at 5:58 we made our way to the front doors and walked straight in. I feel bad about being a line cutter but not too bad. After Target we went to the mall and after the mall we decided we were pooped! We were back home at 9:00 a.m.!! I couldn't believe it. I just knew we would be out until 6 that night. Oh well, turns out I didn't need any of that milk that I pumped Lucy only ate about an ounce of it.

Saturday- we decorated for Christmas at our house and Lucy got to try out the baby carrier. (see picture below) and that evening we went over to Manna's for a little pizza party. We had a great time.

Sunday- This morning I woke up and saw that it was snowing! So far that is our only news!

Here are some pictures from our weekend!

Lucy and Emma, Lucy had on a thanksgiving dress but I decided PJ's would be more comfortable to spend the afternoon in. I have some pictures of her in her dress but I'll have to steal them from my sisters blog.

Lucy in my favorite winter dress! I'm afraid she is about to out grow it though, the panty hose which are my favorite part are a little tight!
Lucy and G-Daddy, they were watching the BAMA game. Lucy loves her G-daddy. I think it is because he is so calm and patient. They walked around and talked to each other for hours the other night!
This is our doberman with snow on it!
This is our neighbors house but you can see how much now we got this morning!

Our First Trip to Arkadelphia!

Friday night Jonathan and I loaded up the dogs, Lucy, half a nursery and ourselves in my pathfinder and traveled down to Arkadelphia. We left Bentonville around 8:30 and arrived around 1:30. Lucy slept the entire time! I was so proud of her because she hates her car seat and she's not a big fan of the car either. Anyway she did great! Once we got to Papaw's and Grandcookies house we were ready for bed but Lucy was ready to party. She was a little hungry and a little tired but she was very curious about her new surroundings. She eventually went to bed around 2:30. She got up at 6:30 went back to bed and slept until 10:00. (I love it when she does that, especially on weekends because we get to sleep in too) Saturday afternoon we had lots of visitors, we got to see Aunt Delta (they were in town too), papaw Wayne and mamaw vel. Lucy thought Wayne was pretty funny because he would make duck noises at her and she would smile so big!

So everyone has heard me say that Lucy is a fussy baby and she kind of only likes her mommy. Well this weekend Lucy was the best baby, she let everyone hold her. She took naps. She laughed. She never really got fussy unless it was time to go to bed and then she just wanted to be rocked. She was so good!!

So Saturday night we went over to the Hunting Cabin to have a Thanksgiving Feast that Dennis and Co had prepared. There was so much food and it was all so delicious! Thank you Uncle Dennis for preparing such a wonderful feast. We hope you cater all of our Family Get togethers!! We had so much fun and I wish I would have taken more pictures, there were about 20 people there but it only looks like the bost family was there from my pictures that we took. Oh well, we will take more next time!

We had such a good time in Arkadelphia and we are looking forward to going there for Christmas!! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Some More Firsts!

For the past month, during the middle of night feedings (which don't happen too often, only a couple times a week) I have been able to lay Lucy in her bed and she will put herself to sleep. Well today I thought I would try it for nap time. Lucy finished nursing and she was asleep, so I thought, when I laid her in her bed she woke up. So instead of picking her up I kissed her, told her I was leaving and Left the room. She cried for about 6 minutes , yes I watched the clock the entire time, and then she fell asleep. I couldn't believe it. I hope we can do this everyday!

A cute story I don't really want to forget...
Jonathan and I brought Lucy to walmart with us the other night for a little grocery shopping. I refuse to take her by myself, so we went as a family. I carried Lucy the entire time and she did great! We told her if she was good she could pick out a toy. So at the end of the trip we went to the baby aisle and Jonathan held up a bumble bee toy and a duck rattle and said Lucy which one do you want. Lucy first lucked at the duck then the bee, then the duck then the bee and then pointed her little hand towards the duck! She is so smart!!

On a sadder note, my dog Clementine died today. She was 14 years old. I wish I could say she died of natural causes but I can't. Apparently there is a pack of dogs running around, they attack my mom's 3 month old colt the other day and we had to rush him to the vet. He should be fine but Clementine was not as lucky. It makes me so angry to think of these mean dogs! Tonight Jonathan, Ryan (my brother in-law) and Ryan's Brother Aaron are on a dog hunt.

A Couple of Firsts...

We had a day of milestones in the Bost House today! Lucy has been trying really hard to roll over from her back to her stomach and today she did it. I didn't actually see it. I put her on Laura's bed, she was on her back, and when I came back she was on her stomach. Laura promised she did it on her own! For the past month or two Lucy has been looking hard for her thumb, well today she finally found it! She is so cute sucking on it!! Our third and final new thing of the day.... Jonathan gave Lucy a bath. Yes, it has been four months and he finally gave her a bath on his own. I was so proud of him. He usually just watches me when I give bear a bath but after today I decided they needed some bonding time so He DID IT!!! No pictures tonight I forgot to take them today.

Also, Laura and I had the best day ever today. We got to spend the whole day together. This morning Jonathan watched Lucy while I picked Laura up and we went over to Mom's to move some of my stuff out from underneath her carport. I ended up getting rid of most of it but it was worth getting it out of the way. Then in the afternoon Lucy and I went to Aunt Laura's where we spent most of the afternoon/night. Laura made the best spaghetti and meat balls. Did you know you can buy meat balls pre-made! I did not. Laura said you learn a lot about the frozen food section of wal-mart when you have a four year old.

Anyway, It has been a great day and I am so glad I got to spend it with my sister and her family. I miss our days together sissy!

Lucy Bear Bost

Today has been a good day. Lucy started taking her Reflux medicine which has really helped with the spitting up and her fussiness. (Sorry Lucy it took us so long to figure out what was wrong) We didn't do anything very eventful today but that doesn't mean we didn't take some pictures!

Here is Lucy in her Bouncer. She is wearing one of the green onesies that Aunt Laura bought for her when we found out I was pregnant.(which was the day after Thanksgiving, I can't believe it's been almost a year).

Lucy and Autumn, Autumn is always kissing this poor baby. She just can't get enough of her. They are really sweet together, Lucy tries to suck on the dogs ears and they just let her. They have really surprised me.

Lucy's New Stats

Lucy and I went to the doctor yesterday. I thought she had a patch of thrush on the roof of her mouth but it turned out not to be thrush. We went ahead and did her four month check up today since our appointment was next week anyway. Everything turned out great, she is pretty much perfect. The only problem is that we discovered she has acid reflux and we are going to start her on some medicine. I knew she had been spitting up a lot but she hasn't been losing weight so I didn't worry. But apparently it can be painful to a little bear (and might explain some fussiness). Also, some other good news, we aren't teething yet. I thought she was but she isn't.
This is a picture from our walk the other day.

Lucy goes to Manna's

Tonight we had our last family dinner at Manna's and G-Daddy's until Thanksgiving. They leave tomorrow for Baton Rouge until then. I think after Thanksgiving Dad will go back and Mom will stay until after Emily goes back to New York for her spring semester. So we will just take it one day at a time. Lucy had a great time tonight. I can't say the same about Emma Grace. Tonight was the first time I have ever heard Emma cry louder than a peep and I hope I never have to hear it again. (She stuck her hand in some lobster bisque while sitting in her mommy's lap) It was so sad. Anyway, I am sad that my parents are leaving tomorrow but I will be Thankful when they come back.

Anyway, we had so much fun tonight. Lucy is trying so hard to make bumble bee noises or some people call them raspberries. You know the noise with your lips. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Jonathan and I were doing it to her and she would laugh and then she started trying to do it. She ended up crying because she couldn't. It was so cute. We hope to get it on video and I'll post it.

Here are some pictures from tonight!
A few people tonight told me that Lucy looks just like her Pap-paw, I don't see it, maybe it's the hairline.

Lucy went right to her G-Daddy and didn't cry at all. I was proud of her because that is not like her.

Emma looks shocked to see me and Lucy looks like Manna is Crazy. (manna is holding them up)

Daddy's Little Clone...

Manna and I had a little photo shoot today at Manna's House. Here are some pictures of Jonathan the Girl. She is looking more and more like her daddy which I didn't think was possible!

I might have over reacted...

Last night I woke up to a terrible hale storm. I swear the house was shaking and we were about to lose the roof. So I jumped up and ran down the hall (as I'm running Jonathan yelled "Go get Lucy") and I ran in Lucy's room. Lucy was laying silently awake but she was just as wild eyed as I was. I picked her up and we ran to the master closet. As soon as we got in there, IT STOPPED! It Stopped just as fast as it started! So we laid in our bed and watched the local news, they said there were some really bad thunderstorms that was producing hale over Centerton and was moving towards Missouri. So, after we knew that we weren't going to lose the house and the roof wasn't going to blow away I had the joy of putting Lucy Bear back to bed. So from 1:00 to 2:30 we were up. She has been doing a good job of sleeping through the night, as have I, so last night was not fun. She finally went to sleep at 2:30 and we all got to sleep in until 7:00.

The Purple People Eater

Today Lucy decided to suck on a purple marker, I was not watching her she was playing by herself and that's what happens when you leave your children unsupervised. No, I'm just kidding!! We are trying out a new thrush medicine and it turns everything purple. Jonathan thinks it looks like she has been playing in her Mommy's makeup (because I've been known to wear purple lipstick :\, just a joke) her new nickname has been the Joker. Just one more day until we are done with the medicine and done with the purple lips forever!

Tailgate Party!

Yesterday we went down to the road hog park to do a little tailgating with GrandCookie, Pap-Paw, Uncle Dennis, Aunt Delta, Mamaw Faye, David, Clamencia and Lauren! We had a lot of fun. Lucy was not in the best mood since we discovered she has thrush again and she is teething. I know, my baby is growing up! I can't believe how fast time has gone by, tomorrow she will be packing up to go to college.

Here is a picture of GrandCookie with Lauren. Lauren is the sweetest girl ever, she runs up and hugs everyone she meets!
Here is a picture of Lucy just relaxing.
