My Resolution: Part 1

So my first resolution of the new year is to lose this baby weight. I have tried, well not really... I was always distracted by cookies. But it has been 5 1/2 months and I'm going to lose the weight. I've decided to do it 5 pounds at a time. I'm not going to tell you how many rounds of 5 until I'm done losing the weight.

So How am I going to do this......
No Carbs (which I love), No more Cookies, Lots of water, Lots of Vegetables, Lots of Chicken, No more bacon wrapped Chicken served with Rice (our favorite meal served twice a week), Lots of salads. Instead of eating chips for a snack I have been eating cottage cheese with a snack pack of fruit mixed with it. (it's better than it sounds)

So far, since Saturday I have lost 4 pounds... woo hoo!

*Side Note* Who said Breastfeeding makes you lose weight? Breastfeeding makes me so hungry!

Breastfeed makes me hungry too! James says I eat like a man....haha! I don't think I could give up the chips...yummy favorite with onion dip!! You look good so have yourself a cookie every once in a while!

Just wait until Lucy starts getting mobile.....that will take the weight off. Chasing a toddler is very good exercise! And that will be happening very soon! Breastfeeding does make you hungry, but you are right to snack SMART! Way to go!

I miss all of you!!

I love “healthy” competition – because you know it is going to turn into a competition. Last night I wanted to eat a whole candy bar, but I told Ryan that you had lost 4 pounds and you were keeping motivated on to loose weight, so I only ate two bites and then I had some fruit for my snack. I am so proud of you and I think that we could keep each other motivated.

It was so much easier when we were young and not nursing – you could just not eat for a few days and take all off (LOL). Now we have families and have to do things healthy. Oh well keeps us honest. Love you, Laura

THANK YOU!!! Someone else agrees with me...I want to EAT all the time! This breastfeeding makes me so hungry. Sometimes I think to myself "am I really eating again". My thoughts are with you...way to go on the 4 pounds!

Oh Mary, I'm right there with you. I hate trying to get rid of the baby fat. I lost 4.5 the first week, but the second week I gained 2 pounds back...I don't know how b/c I didn't cheat. I too am trying to do it a little at a time. Good Luck!!!!!
