*Milestone Alert*

We have hit a new milestone.... Lucy crawled to her daddy tonight! I was cooking dinner and I heard Jonathan and Lucy playing in the den. Jonathan was trying to coax her with his phone and apparently that did it. He said she got up on all fours and crawled about two feet before she crashed on her belly! I hate that I missed it but I did get to see her get on all fours. Maybe tomorrow she will crawl for me!

Mexican Chicken Casserole

During the great spring cleaning I found a few things in boxes that I had put away from the wedding. In one of the boxes was a pack of recipe cards that Jonathan's Aunt Barbara gave us and on each card was a different recipe! It was like Christmas for me. I love to cook and I love finding new recipes and I never thought I would find a whole pack of them in my own house.

Anyway, I pulled out some of the recipes to try this week and tonight I made the Mexican Chicken Casserole. It was delicious!
1 Chicken
2 cans cream of chicken soup
1 can rotel
1 lb velveeta
1 pakage Doritos Cool Ranch

Crush Doritos in a 9 X14 pan. ( I used two 7 x7 cake pans)
De-bone chicken (save enough broth to add to soup)

Mix broth (1-1/2 cups), soup, and rotel. Add velveeta (1/3) and pour mixture over chips. Layer Chicken on top. Bake at 350 degree for 20 minutes. Add slices of velveeta to cover chicken. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese melts.

Thank you Barbara!

Spring Cleaning: Part 4

The great closet clean out happened today and it took all day. It probably wouldn't have but it's hard to do a task with a 9 month old at your feet. I made Lucy a palette in my room that she could play on while I worked and I also worked while she napped. Also, my momma came over to play too! I was glad for the break. I have missed her so much. Anyway, I have provided some before and afters.

Before: with Lucy playing
After: Yikes! Lucy not as happy as she was either!
Boxes and bags full of my small clothes. I packed them up and am going to bring them to my moms house so my little sister can go through them. (if you are wondering- no I don't plan on being this size forever but I don't think boobs go away and I know they won't fit in my Small shirts, If they do go away and I lose all this weight then I deserve some new clothes so I don't see it as a lost)
Bags that are going to Helping Hands!
It feels so good to get rid of all of the things that I don't use or haven't used in the past year. I feel a giant weight lifted.

We went to my parents farm the other day to have a play date with the Coble's. Lucy and Emma enjoyed playing in the wagon while Taylor rode his bike. And when Taylor was gardening we played on a blanket with the girls.

Surprise Visitor!

Yesterday's phone conversation with my mom:

Mom: What are you doing?
Me: I just got done feeding Lucy now I'm looking at her pretty face.
Mom: Well open up your front door so I can see her pretty face
Me: (screams) I can't believe your here! (I open the front door) Where are you?
Mom: Oh no! I'm at the wrong house!

Haha, she was standing at my neighbors front door and her car was parked in their driveway. We laughed and ran to the middle of the yard to have our reunion!! It was great!

Lucy and Manna getting use to each other again after two months without seeing each other.
Then I gave Lucy a cookie...
and she loved it! (she just sucked half of it and then she handed it to me, and yes I ate the rest of the soggy cookie)

Spring Cleaning: Part 3

The Kitchen

Don't judge me!
Like I said before I don't like to look at stuff so I "put" it away. Yikes!

Kitchen Cabinet #1.  Before
Cabinet 2-Before
Cabinet #3- Before
Cabinet #4-Before

I cleaned 3 others but I didn't take pictures.

The Kitchen is clean... now onto the master bedroom closet! (Big Yikes)

Spring Cleaning: Part 2

I didn't include a before and after because I was a little embarresed about the before. (Yikes) I had to hand scrub the floor (I don't trust a mop) and finish all the laundry. I hate doing laundry!

Spring Cleaning: Part 1

Today I thought it was time to do a little spring cleaning. Actually it's been time to do it but I have been avoiding it like the plague. So if you know me well you know that I don't like to clean. I love when things are clean but I hate to clean. You might also know that I hate clutter but I love stuff. Well recently I have changed my mind about collecting stuff.... who needs it. I've been thowing away and giving away. You know that stuff that you keep because you might need it some day or maybe I'll use that, Well I've been getting rid of it. Granted I've only deep cleaned two rooms but that's a start...right?

I'm like an amardilla burying its head in the dirt "if I can't see you, you can't see me" I stuff all my junk in closets and drawers.
All the contents from the closet now in the foyer

One hour later... Clean!

The End.

9 Month Check-Up

Lucy had her 9 month check up yesterday afternoon. She is hitting all her milestones perfectly. Marilou expects her to start crawling soon. She has started to pull up on things-including her crib! (yikes) She is such a big girl now. They had to draw a little blood yesterday so they did a toe stick and she didn't cry at all. She did cry when Marilou held her down to look in her ears! If there's one thing that I have learned it's you can't hold down this girl.

Jonathan's Birthday!

Happy Birthday Jonathan!

Yesterday we had a little birthday party for Jonathan at Gusano's with the Coble Family. We all enjoyed pizza, pizza dip (which Taylor introduced me too and was so good) and Rick's Cake.

A family photo of the three of us.

The whole gang without Laura who was taking the picture!

Taylor had his first and second t-ball game today! We were able to go and watch the mighty giants play and win. (actually they don't keep score and everyone's a winner) The t-ball game was hilarious. When a ball was hit all the kids in the infield (there is no outfield) would all run and jump on it until there was a pile of 10 kids. We really enjoyed the game and can't wait until the next one.

Here are a few pictures from our morning out.

Sick day

Moms don't get sick days. Which I didn't really think about until today when I got sick. I thought I could make it through the day without help but I was wrong. I called Jonathan around 12 and he came home at 2. I had just put Lucy into bed and had climbed into bed myself when he came home. When I woke up Lucy was dressed in a new outfit, had a sippy cup of juice and was jumping in the jumperoo. I was so proud of her daddy. The Mary Tyler Moore song popped into my head "You're going to make it after all." (I changed the word You're to Their)

Anyway, after my nap I felt much better but only for an our or so. It's been a rough day.  Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

Maybe tomorrow I will post pictures of the bear!

This morning Lucy got up to see what the Easter Bunny had brought her. She got so excited to see the stuffed frog and other little gifts.
Then she got all dressed in her new easter dress, sweater and hat. (Thank you GrandCookie for putting together our Easter Outfit)
GrandCookie and Papaw came over for Easter Lunch and they also went to church with us this morning.
Here are the girls with their mommas at Aunt Laura's house.
Lucy playing.

Lucy and Emma in their Easter Dresses.

Emma liked Lucy's hat so much that she pulled out her own. I think they look so cute!
Lucy in her Easter basket
Emma in her Easter Basket.
Both girls with their G-daddy. G-daddy is in town too! We haven't seen him since Christmas. He decided to come home for the holiday and get some well deserved rest. Baton Rouge is working him too hard. Maybe next time he will bring Manna!! (manna we miss you and we hope to see you soon)
