Weekend with Cookie!!

We had such a fun weekend with Grandcookie, Jonathan's Mom! She arrived Thursday night and spent the entire weekend with us. Lucy really enjoyed spending time with her GrandCookie, they had not seen each other since Christmas.

I also had a great time with Becky too! Sometimes it gets so lonely at home by myself so it  was nice to have some company.

Friday we all went shopping around town. We went to some specialty shops around town, which were all having sales. (final touch and signed sealed and delivered) We also bought a Thankful cake for Jonathan. Friday was a rough day for him so we thought we would cheer him up!

Saturday we played at home. Lucy was awfully tired. That night Becky babysat so Jonathan and I could have a date night. We went out to eat and then to the movies to see Taken. Not a good movie if you are a new mom but it was a good movie. We were glad to get out. That was our third date since Lucy bear was born!!

Sunday, we went to church. During church I let Lucy play with the bulletin. She started sucking on it and all the sudden we noticed that she sucked a corner off and it was in her mouth. I stuck my finger in but that just scared her and she swallowed it. So, yes I let my baby eat paper. It didn't seem to bother her. Lucy was great during the service, we didn't hear a peep out of her the entire time. The Coble's sat behind us and Lucy kept making eyes at her Uncle Ryan. Uncle Ryan was making faces at her and she was making them right back!! They are so funny. After church we all went to Acambaros for lunch. Lucy slept through lunch which is not like her, she hates her car seat and she hates to sleep in it, really she only sleeps in her bed.

So that has been our weekend. We can't wait for Cookie to come back up to visit and we are hoping Papaw will come next time too!! Here are some pictures from our weekend.

I go out Walking....

Yesterday Lucy and I went on a walk. Half way through our walk I decided I would get more exercise if I ran.... I haven't ran in 10 years. I probably ran a total of 5 minutes but I am really feeling it today. I think I will try again tomorrow. If I can force myself to run a little bit more everyday than I will be skinny in no time!! (ha, maybe)

Lucy bear and I are going to busy this afternoon. We have a couple of errands to run before GrandCookie gets here!! We are very excited to see her.

Catch Up.

For the last couple of days I've been thinking about things to write about for the old blog. I usually just post some pictures and talk about how cute Lucy is in them.  I still don't have anything to talk about but I hate that my blog hasn't been updated.

So I guess I will just update you on our weekend.

Saturday- we spent the entire day at home. I cleaned the house and Jonathan picked up dog poop in the back yard. (exciting I know, but it has to be done) That night my mom came over to watch Lucy while Jonathan and I went on our Valentine's date. Before mom got there Lucy had fallen asleep and I hated that because we didn't get to explain that we were leaving and that manna was there to watch her. (silly i know, but it matters to me) Jonathan and I went to Crabby's. I don't recommend it. We both had the Lobster and it was okay but it had way to much Parmesan cheese on it. Also, the mashed potatoes had too much garlic on them. But what really killed the whole Crabby's experience for me was the dessert. We ordered dessert to go. When we got home we opened up our chocolate cake and it was the size of an Oreo cookie. We looked at our dessert, looked at each other and then ate our Tiny Tim dessert. We were both angry and really disappointed. Anyway, I forgot when we got home Lucy was up with Manna still and as soon as we opened the door Lucy jumped three feet in the air (we scared her) began crying her little heart out and wouldn't quit until I sat down on the couch with her. We sat there for a little while and she just laid her little head on my chest and wouldn't move. This was really sweet because she hates to cuddle. So in the end it was an excellent Valentine's Day!!

Sunday- We didn't do anything. We played with Lucy. Lucy now loves to roll. She rolls from one end of her room to the other end. It cracks us up. At first she could only roll to the left but now she has mastered rolling to the right!!

Monday- Lucy, Jonathan and I ate lunch with Dennis and Delta at the local Chickfila. We loved seeing them!! I'll have to get the pictures from Delta. (maybe she will post them on her blog, hint hint!) After Lunch we went to see what Manna was doing and ended up running some errands with her. We went to the Jane, MO Walmart, an antique store and Lowes. I bought some shelves for Lucy's room to put my Madame Alexander doll collection on. We have to start baby proofing soon and I thought I would put the dolls up high so little hands couldn't get them.

Tuesday- Lucy and I hung out at the house.

So now we are caught up. I have to get to cleaning again. GrandCookie is coming to town tomorrow. We are so excited. Lucy hasn't seen her in two months!!

Happy Early Valentines Day!

Jonathan came home tonight with a little surprise for Lucy and I. We made a deal not to do presents for Valentines day only cards and we would go out to eat. So I was a little mad when he said he had a surprise for us. He got Lucy a teddy bear with balloon and he got me some cupcakes. HAHA! They are for both of us.

Here is Lucy holding her little package. Don't mind me, I'm not wearing any makeup but you can almost see my new hair cut. I cut it to just a little above my shoulders. (to keep little hands from pulling it)
And on the subject of love, here are our dobermans. They love each other.

Also a couple of first happened today. Lucy drank apple juice out of her sippy cup today. She has been a little constipated since we started eating bananas so I thought we should speed things up with some juice. She really liked it.

I was holding Lucy and we were talking and she was getting a little fussy and I asked her what was wrong and she looked at me and said mama. I have heard her say mama before but usually she is looking at the dogs or Jonathan. Today she said it to me!! It's been a good day!

Fayetteville and Pictures.

Today Lucy and I spent the afternoon in Fayetteville. We haven't been there since the ice storm and we couldn't believe the damage. There are trees down every where!! While we were in Fayetteville I went to the doctor to get a shot and after that we went shopping. We went to Target, TJ MAXX and the mall. It's been a really long time since I have been to the Mall there and I was not that impressed. I know the economy is bad right now but seriously there was nothing in the stores. We didn't buy much, just some diet dr. pepper and baby food at Target.

Since my camera is being fixed I pulled these old pictures out for your viewing pleasure.

Lucy the Big Girl!!

So I hate to blog about random things. I would much rather blog about Lucy Bear and I hate to post without pictures. So, I stole these pictures from Jonathan's phone. Thank goodness for Jonathan!!

Here is Lucy enjoying a nice big glass of water.
"Yeah, I'm a big girl... I can do it by myself."

Errands and Sippy Cups

Today I had a lot of errands to run. Well actually just a mornings worth. My mom came over to watch Lucy this morning while I ran to Fayetteville. My meeting in Fayetteville didn't last very long so I called mom to see how she was doing with Lucy. She said Lucy was still awake and was happy. She hadn't cried once. I was/am so proud of her. I think she does better when she is at her own house. So, since things were good at home I decided to finish running my errands. I went by the copy and ship place to make copies of our tax information and to ship our camera. Neat place, two errands in one stop. I then brought lunch home for mom and me from my favorite Chick-fil-a. When I got home Lucy was still up and still smiling. Soon after I got home Lucy went down for her nap and I was able to make some phone calls.

Anyway, that has been our morning and afternoon. Since I can't post pictures I thought I would get some pictures to show you what we are doing.

For the last week Lucy has been eating pears! She loves them. I think tomorrow we move on to bananas!!
Today Lucy started drinking water out of a sippy cup with a straw. Yes we are still breastfeeding and no I don't usually give her water but she is so cute sipping out of the straw.

Our Weekend!!

My camera broke. My brand new camera broke. Of course when I told Jonathan that something was wrong with my camera he asked "what did you do to it?" and "did you drop it?". For your information I DID NOT DROP IT!! Usually these are valid questions because I'm a little clumsy, but this time it wasn't my fault!  Anyway, we are sending it in to be repaired, a row of pixels went out on the screen so it can easily be fixed. Hopefully quickly... Anyway, so no pictures of the Lucy Bear for a while. I hate to blog without pictures so I will leave you with this.

My favorite TV family. This is what I've been doing this weekend. Watching a little Cosby.

We have also been watching "Challenge" on the Food Network. If you haven't watched it you need to. They make these awesome building, dresses, sculptures and other things all out of chocolate!!

My Funny Valentine...

My Funny Valentine came home the other day and told me we were going to have a Valentine Date. My reaction was "Oh really." We have not been out, just the two of us, since Lucy was three months old. I asked who was going to watch the bear and he said he had already taken care of it. Hmmm..... I was a little scared to see who he had lined up to babysit but then he informed me that his parents were going to be in town and they had volunteered to babysit. WOOHOO!! I'm so excited!!

So where are we going to go? I'm glad you asked.

Have you heard of Crabbys? Have you eaten at Crabbys? Do you have an opinion of Crabbys?

I saw the menu online and it looks delicious. I have been craving seafood for a while now so I think it will be perfect!!

:) Smiley Face (:

Lucy has become quite the ham in front of the camera. She was being awfully sweet to her daddy last night and I thought I would capture the moment with a few pictures.

She is such a little ham. I love this kid!!

HighChairs and Sweaters...

Not a lot going on in the Bost Household. Lucy and I have tried to get out of the house the past few days since we were stuck indoors all last week. Yesterday we went by wal-mart to pick up our new highchair. Lucy seems to really like it. I'm glad it came in because I'm pretty sure she won't fit in the bumbo any more. Her little legs have a hard time fitting in the little slot. I think we are going to pass it down to Emma Grace.

Lucy enjoying the new chair.
Lucy waiting on dinner.
Funny story-Yesterday Lucy and I went to the Promenade to do a little window shopping. Before we left I got ready while Lucy took a nap. I had time to put on makeup and to poof up my hair and I was really feeling good about myself. I was feeling so good that I took off my sweat pants and put on a pair of jeans and a really cute sweater that my mother in law gave me for Christmas last year. I love this sweater. I wore it a couple of times when I first got it but couldn't wear it because of my pregnant belly.

Anyway, Lucy and I went shopping and we walked around Dillard's and then the whole promenade and we even went to TJMaxx. I noticed at all of these places people kept looking at us. I just thought they were noticing that I was having a really good hair day (because I was).  Did I mention I felt really good about myself.... well turns out I had this gigantic hole in my sweater. I'm not talking a rip.... I'm talking about the arm sleeve to my sweater is hanging on by threads and my white long sleeve undershirt is hanging out for everyone to see. I felt like the biggest hobo!!! I'll post pictures!

Here is Lucy in her new Mary Englebreit outfit.
Here is the sweater.
Here is the hole!! I am hoping I can sew it, actually I hope my mom can sew it.

Pizza Party

Last night we had a super bowl party  of our own. Not really it was just the three of us but fun nonetheless. Jonathan made a homemade pizza for the festivities and it was delicious.  Not much more to report except for some pictures.

Lucy is the bumbo.

The pizza Jonathan made.

Party at the Coble's

During the Ice Storm Lucy and I decided to go visit the Cobles, our favorite people!! Lucy and Emma enjoyed the time together and Lucy really like playing Narnia Castle with Taylor!!

Lucy is on Aunt Laura's team and she is the giraffe. Taylor and I were on the same team and we had all the bad animals. I think Laura and Lucy only had that giraffe and a couple of sharks.
Here is the Narnia Castle.
Lucy and Emma fighting over a doll!
I don't know if you can tell but Lucy is about twice the size of Emma Grace. They both had their 6 month checkups and Lucy out weighed Emma by about 3 pounds. Emma almost weighed what Lucy weighed at 4 months.
