A Conversation with Lucy

Me: Lucy do you want to go see Daddy?
Lucy: Yes!
Me: Lucy do you want to go see Aunt Laura?
Lucy: Yes!
Me: Lucy do you want to go see Emma Grace and Taylor?
Lucy: Yes!
Me: Lucy do you want to go see Autumn and Whitney?
Lucy: NO! (as she shakes her head back and forth in the no direction)

The other morning Jonathan and I were getting ready and Lucy was in the pack and play. She was quietly playing by herself and then we heard "I love puppies!". Plain as day!. SHe is so cute.

11 months!

Lucy turned 11 months yesterday. I know I say this every month but I can't believe how fast time has gone. We are already planning her first birthday party!

This is her "can you see my tooth" face.
At 11 months you:
  • have three teeth
  • are crawling everywhere, you have two speeds slow speed and high speed.
  • wearing 12 and 18 month clothes and size four diapers
  • eating people food. your favorites are spaghetti and chicken and rice
  • nursing two times a day. (morning and night)
  • pulling up on everything
  • walking around things by holding on to something
  • talking, talking, talking. Sometimes you put words together. No mom, no bath, dada bye bye, and many more.
  • Loves Preschool
  • loves chasing her dogs
She is growing up so fast!

The Lake.

We got to spend last weekend at the Manna and G-daddy's lake house. It was a lot of fun. The Coble's were there, Nene and Poppy and even Aaron, Audry and baby Lila came. I can't wait until the next weekend at the lake.

Taylor driving the boat.
Laura and Emma
Emma Grace
Whenever Lucy is around Emma she steals her pacifier and pretends like she knows how to use it. Lucy has never taken a pacifier and yes I tried.

To get back at Lucy, Emma stole her sippy cup.

Go Giants!

Last Friday Lucy and I went to Taylors second tball tournament game. Lucy sported her orange dress to cheer on the team. (They are orange as well). For some reason I didn't get a picture of Taylor. He is so funny when he plays in the field. He dances, tucks in his shirt, plays with his hat, picks flowers and everything else you could possibly imagine doing in the infield on a baseball game. He cracks me up!

Teeth.

Lucy now has three little teeth. She proudly shows them off too. She has only bit me twice. (once while nursing, but not very hard) I've found that when a new tooth is coming in the best thing to do is to strip her naked and let her eat a popsicle. She loves it. It may not be very healthy but if it helps ease the pain I'll do it.

Buckin Bronco.

I went to the grocery store. When I came back Lucy and her daddy had made a new game. See pictures below.

thinking about doing something she isn't suppose to be doing.

Being told no.
Looking for approval.
Buckin Bronco.
It's funnier to see it in person. She faces backwards on her boppy chair and holds on tight then starts rocking back and forth. She thinks it's so funny. At first we thought it looked dangerous but then we realized it was funny and she will probably only fall once.

Water Play.

Lucy's playschool has started their summer activity program already! Lucy's class gets to have a water play day and a movie day. I think it is funny that they include the babies in their program! Monday was water play day (it was cancelled due to kids to napping and cranky attitudes, ha). So Sunday we had to prepare to get wet. I had to buy water shoes which are required. It was a little difficult finding size three water shoes but walmart never fails. So just to make sure everything was going to fit we had a little dress up. Pictures are below.

I love this picture.
Not too sure what to think about being dressed up in our bathing suit. (not sure why this is sideways)

Visitor.

One of my best friends from architecture school was in town last Saturday and Lucy and I got to have lunch with her. Lauren lives in Seatle, WA. I haven't seen her in two years so it was so good getting to chat with her. Lucy enjoyed meeting her too. (Actually Lucy enjoyed eating breakfast caserole at common grounds)

Here are a few pictures!
Lucy looks like a giant baby, I think it was the camera angle/closeness. She isn't a giant.
This kid loves to eat!

Fly me to the Moon.

Lucy outgrew her infant carseat, so this weekend Jonathan and I were on a mad search to find the perfect carseat. We found this one at the babys room in Rogers. It looks like Lucy is going to the moon when she is in it. I think she really enjoys facing forward too! (don't tell she is suppose to be 20 pounds and a year old to face forward, she will be a year next month... I think it will be okay).

Graduation

My nephew Taylor graduated from preschool last Friday! I can't believe he is already 5 and is about to go to kindergarten. After the Graduation we got to celebrate by going to Chuckie Cheese! (Taylor's choice)
