I was rocking Lucy to sleep the other night. I always ask her if she wants to go night night or rock. She always says, "Rock, Mama." The other night she was dead asleep so I got up to put her in her bed and with her eyes closed she said, "No Rock Mama." I think it was sweet because she was still asleep.
Yesterday she was through eating lunch and I said,"Lucy do you want to go night night?" and she replied," No, I want to go to the zoo." Plain as day! It is funny that i was so worried about her speech. She went from saying a few words to saying a lot of words to saying full sentences. She still jabbers a lot but most of the time you can make out what she is saying.
Stephanie wrote a story about Kohen saying a bad word and it reminded me of this story.
We were at my memaw's house for Christmas. Everyone was there. Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins. I'm going to say it was a total of 30 people. Lucy had just been learning her body parts. I asked her where her belly button was and she lifted up her shirt and showed me. I asked her what it said and we would yell ding dong. Well my Aunt saw what I was doing and brought her in the kitchen to show everyone else. So in front of an audience of 30 people Lucy proceeded to show everyone her belly button. Then my Aunt asked her what a belly button said. Lucy cut her eyes, got a sly grin across her face and said ,"SH*T!" I died! We don't use that word anymore.
Those are the only stories I can think of.
