The Little Mermaid.

I'm a sucker for gymboree. I love all their little girl clothes because they are just that Little Girl clothes. They don't look like something a teenager would wear. Anyway, I bought Lucy a mermaid outfit that she wore all summer last year so when it went on sale I bought her the same outfit for this summer.

Question?

At around 10:55 I heard a big boom like someone had just ran into our house with a car and everything in my house shook! Did anyone else in the Bentonville/Centerton area hear/feel this? Do you know what it was? That is all.

I checked facebook and everyone in the neighborhood felt it too. I'm not crazy!

*It was just confirmed by the UALR Center for Earthquakes that it was indeed an EARTHQUAKE! I'm getting a t-shirt made that says I survived the great Centerton Earthquake!

Play Date.

I started my new job this week. I you didn't know I got a job. It combines two of my favorite things. Lucy and Taylor! I started picking Taylor up from school this week. I love it because I get to see my Tater Tot everyday. I also get to see his sister. Miss Vanessa usually picks up Taylor but she is getting ready to have her baby so I took over. I am really looking forward to this summer. I am going to be the official Taylor Watcher. We are going to go to the pool, the library, walking trails and other places not yet decided.

Yesterday after Laura got home from work the girls got to play for a bit. They were excited because they haven't seen each other is about two weeks. That is long time not to see your BFF!

Dancing

Lucy is a born dancer. She is always making up songs and dancing to them. She basically cracks me up. Sometimes it looks like modern dance, sometimes she looks like Michael Jackson and other times it is very classical. I was never a dancer so I am very impressed with her skills! Enjoy a few videos of her dancing skills!

This video cracks me up. Lucy saw me with the camera and Yelled Cheese! (I guess you can hear that though)

Jonathan was pretending he was asleep and Lucy was waking him up. I think they are pretty cute!

God is Good.

My grandfather "Bill Bill" has been in poor health since before Thanksgiving. He has been in and out of the hospital and has gone through many surgeries. In February my sister's and I took a trip down to Alabama to celebrate his 80th birthday. This was an important trip for us because the next week he would have open heart surgery. I hate to say this but we thought this would probably be the last time we saw him. (Sorry mom, but it was true) We were just preparing ourselves. He had his surgery and the doctors fixed 3 of the 5 heart valves that they needed to fix. We were hopeful! Recovery from his surgery has been a long road. My mom, memaw and aunts and uncles have been at the hospital every day and night for the past two months. They are tired. He is tired. But everyone has remained hopeful. It has been a long road.

Today he was released from the hospital. He is on his way home. We are very excited!
Thank you for everyone who has been praying for him!

God is God and God is Good!

Goodbye...

So long, farewell, Auf Weidersehen, and goodbye.

Take a look at my closet. Yikes I know.
Do you see all the empty hangers?
Do you see the lack of clothes?
Do you notice anything different?!?
Do you know what is in here?
My post pregnancy clothes aka my fat clothes!!
Actually the top box is fat clothes and the bottom are winter sweaters.

Please help me kiss them goodbye! (or in the words of Lucy "bye bye baby"

Oklahoma...

This morning we got up, got ready, ate breakfast and hit the road. It is suppose to rain all weekend in Northwest Arkansas so we thought we would take a little day trip to Tulsa, Ok. Tulsa is only 2 hours away and it was not raining there AND they have many family activities!

Enjoy our day in pictures:

Lucy woke up and wore a coffee filter for a hat. I don't know if you knew this but I use to run around the house in my panties wearing a coffee filter on my head when I was a little girl.
While I was packing up everything this morning these two enjoyed some cartoons.
Please ignore mess on bed.
Our first stop was the Oklahoma Aquarium! Lucy really enjoyed it. I think we finished the whole tour in 30 minutes flat. Her favorite part.... the BEAVER!!

Lucy looking at the turtles.
Daddy enjoyed the Aquarium too!
Lucy would say," Fish, Hey Fish!" and "Bubble Bubble". She would also wave to them, yell "Bye Bye" and blow them kisses.
Mommy and Lucy Bear.
I think this is a catfish.

She actually loved all the little fish. She did not like the big fish. They scared her.

After the aquarium we decided we had a couple of hours to kill before dinner so we would go to the zoo. The zoo is across the street from the airport. When we got near the airport we noticed a bunch of cars lined up and people lined up with their cameras. So we pulled over to see what all the commotion was all about. It was an AIRSHOW! We arrived at 3:15 and it ended at 4. We decided to sit and watch the last few planes. Jonathan looked up the schedule of events online and the grand finale plane was a B2. So we stayed and watched.

Here it comes.
There it goes.
This is my favorite picture of our family of three. Lucy is cracking me up!
Oh wait, it did another fly by.

After the air show we ate at the Cheese Cake Factory. I love to eat.

Lucy bear eating a lemon.
Lucy's new nickname is the Portion Police. She is always eating off other peoples plates.
We are back home and ready to go to bed. Actually I got a piece of cheesecake to go and I'm going to eat it in bed then go to sleep! Enjoy your night!

Thursday Show Down.

Today we had our women's bible study. I love that I am involved with a group of women who are strengthening their relationship with Jesus. I'm going to be so sad when we take off for the summer in just a couple of weeks.

After bible study I was invited to go with Lunch with two girlfriends and pastor Susan to our our favorite restaurant in town, Table Mesa. We went and half way through Lucy had a melt down so we excused ourselves, got our food to go, and went home. I do this every Thursday. I push us and schedule too much stuff during nap time. A schedule is very important to me (especially a nap schedule) and once it is established you should never try to break it.

Once we got home Lucy refused to take a nap! AAAHH!! Don't worry she passed out by 6. Thank goodness! Before she passed out we got to have a play date with my nephew Taylor Lee Coble. We both really enjoyed that!

Here are some pictures from our day.
Reese, Lucy and Grant enjoying some donuts before bible study. Aren't they the cutest breakfast club ever?

Busy Day.

Lucy and I had a very busy day. Wednesday, Lucy has mother's day out. Which means for three hours I run around like a chicken with my head cut off. Today I went to the grocery store and did my two weeks worth of grocery shopping, unloaded groceries, did some laundry and went to a local gift shop. Maybe it doesn't sound like much but I like to do things I don't normally get to do when Lucy is with me. She use to go with me to the store but then the fits started and dum dums doesn't make enough suckers to get us through an hour of grocery shopping.

Anyway, After mother's day out we dropped off an order of cakelettes, went home, took a nap, did some more laundry, watched Curious George, unplanted our tomato plant and waited patiently for daddy to get home!

Lucy outside. Not looking very happy.
Oh there you are peter!
Unplanting our tomato plant.
Don't worry it is still there.

After bath, eating pop corn or "pop pop" and watching George.
