We had the best weather this weekend. It really made for a great weekend because we got to play outside. It was 74 degrees. I kept telling Jonathan we should move to California so we could live in weather like that all year long! The sunshine makes me so happy. Too bad we are preparing for a snow storm today!
Lucy playing outside.
We took a break and Lucy decided to line some of my lotions up. We went to best buy. Yes we go there a lot. Lucy liked the 3d glasses. We had lunch with this little guy, who I love. and his parents. and we played outside some more. We had a good weekend! Jonathan and I were also able to go on a date Saturday we had a fun kid free night of dinner and a movie. True Grit gets a two thumbs up from us!
I don't believe in making messes. I believe in making memories. Lucy and I made cookies for bible study the other day. This is one of our favorite activities to do together. Lucy is an excellent helper. She always says, "No, Lucy do it." By the time we were done the whole kitchen was covered in Powdered sugar. Oh well, you can always clean up a mess.
Lucy standing on the "helping chair."
She hates to have her picture taken. My big helper. Doesn't she look just like her daddy? The End.
Today Jonathan and I had a a special day with Lucy. We started with Best Buy. This was special for Daddy and Lucy. Lucy loved playing with some of the kid display toys.
Then we went to the promenade to play in the indoor play area. Lucy likes the cars and tractors but only when they are not moving. Then we went to build a bear. Lucy loved it! She was running back and forth looking for the perfect animal, the perfect outfit and the perfect accessories. Lucy stuffing her bear. Washing her bear, actually it's a dog. All done. I need to take a picture of our dog named puppy who is dressed like a ballerina. Our last stop was the train table at Melody's choices. Lucy loves the trains! I love that little tongue sticking out. Her daddy does that too when he is concentrating on something. It was a fun day with my family.
Our day started with a pop tart in bed. No, I don't usually let Lucy eat in our bed but since it was sheet washing day I thought I would make an exception.
Lucy was not into having her picture made. We spent the morning moving cars around. Emily had two cars to get to the shop so we played shuttle bus for her. We didn't mind. After our bus duties were over we ate.
Can you tell I'm running low on blog material? A couple of years from now I may find it very interesting to see what I had for lunch... Turkey Wrap, Brussel sprouts and water. Emily spent the afternoon with us and Lucy just loved it! They cuddled on the couch while I cleaned. After an attempted nap we went to play with the Coble's.
Lucy helped Laura and I make dinner. I took Emma's picture. She then told me that she would like a little privacy please. I love this little Jonathan the girl. Lucy wearing a coffee filter. Emma and Lucy playing with a ball. Rocking. I think they teamed up on Taylor and his snake. We had a fun filled day. Thank you sister for having us over.
We woke up to 4 inches of snow today! Lucy was very excited about this.
After breakfast we bundled up to play. Isn't she cute? This is me. I was trying to show off my headband/earmuffs. Thanks Becky Bost for the headband. I'm loving it! This is me and little sly eyes. Outside playing! My Lucy loves the snow!
Lucy really liked the snow until she got cold! She said," Oh mama, I'm dold." I said, "ME TOO!"
So we went inside and read some books on our new chair. By the way, thank you for the sweet comments about Lucy's chair. I am so excited about it and the best part was it was only cost $15. I've been pricing them and I couldn't find one under $100. Later we ate lunch. In case you wonder what we had I thought I would take a picture. Turkey Wrap with lettuce, tomato, cheese, avacodo and italian dressing. 287 calories. But I would have rather eaten Lucy's lunch. Hotdog and mac n cheese. After an attempted nap, we picked up the Coble's and went to the farm to sled. Then we drank hot chocolate. That is how we spent our snow day.
