Week in the Life: Monday

I thought I would copy KellysKorner and do a week in the Life post. I thought it would be a good way to keep track of what we do at this age!

This morning started for me at 6:50. I set my alarm for 6 so I could get up for a run. I hit the snooze until 6:50 and then popped up and got dressed for my run. By 7 I was out the door and started running, I then looked behind me and decided that since nobody was chasing me I would just walk. I did 2.5 miles and then went back home.

Lucy slept in until 8! This is rare. She is usually up by 7. Once Lucy got up I fixed her breakfast of sausage biscuits and apple juice. Her favorite!

After breakfast she watched cartoons for a little bit. I played on the computer trying to complete my blogger commenting challenge. I'll post about that at the end.

After watching cartoons I printed off our lessons for the day. Today our letter was Ff. We start by tracing the letter. Please keep in mind that Lucy is 2 years 11 1/2 months (I can't bring myself to say three) so she does a lot of scribbling. We practiced saying some f-words but not the F-word. At one point I said, "Lucy can you say Fish?" Lucy said, "NO." I said, "You are a turkey." She said, No I'm not a turkey, I'm a little girl!" Yes, yes you are Lucy!
After our lessons we got dressed. I then spent 20 minutes trying to get a picture of her in her watermelon dress.

Isn't she cute! That dress is a 5T. Like I said before she will be three in three weeks, she is a tall kid. How did I get her to stand still for a picture? Her daddy told her if she would stand still he would chase her!
Later we did puzzles.
This afternoon, my sister Emily picked me up and we went to the hospital to visit our other sister Laura. Laura is pregnant with twins and has developed kidney stones. They haven't passed and she is in a lot of pain. Please pray they pass soon. Laura is having quite the eventful pregnancy: twins, bed rest, kidney stones. I brought her my moms famous peanut butter m&m cookies.
After we got back we decided to start our Fourth of July dinner. I made our favorite bean and corn dip and Jonathan made hamburgers!
We spent some time outside watching Lucy play in the pool. The girls enjoyed being outside too.

Autumn enjoyed the pool too.
After outside play. I put Lucy in the bath and she went to bed at 7. This is early for her but she ran hard today!

I am going to finish out the day spending time with my hubby and then when it gets dark we are going outside to watch fireworks. I love the fourth of July. We have celebrated all weekend, which I have to catch up on!

I have really enjoyed the comment challenge. I commented on 10 blogs today and I had a few comments on mine! I love reading new blogs! I am kind of a nerd, I made an excel spreadsheet of the blogs I commented on, the blogs that commented on mine and the blogs I am going to comment on. I have only picked 30 so far to comment on. I'm going to take it one day at a time!

The End.

Stopping by from Jenna's commenting challenge. I am a runner too and find it so challenging to fit in runs when I am so tired from being a mom. It is definitely a different season of life :)
