Baby #2- 12 Weeks

Please excuse the clothes hanging on the door. That is my drying system. If I weren't a little bit Lazy I would photoshop that out!

Pregnancy Highlights How Far Along: 12 weeks 1 day
Size of baby: The size of a plum. 2.1 inches long and .49 ounces. (I had an ultrasound on Monday and our baby is measuring 3 days big. The doctor asked me if Lucy was a big kid. I replied, "She is 3 and the size of a 4 year old.")
Weight Gain: 1.5 pounds. This could get embarrassing quick! I'm proud of my weight gain right now.
Maternity Clothes: My jeans still fit but by the end of the day they are really uncomfortable. I have been wearing my leggings a lot! I told myself I wasn't allowed to wear maternity clothes until 12 weeks!
Gender: We are not going to find out! I love a surprise! From the very beginning I thought it was a boy because I've been so sick but we heard the heartbeat on Tuesday and it was 164. Now I'm thinking it's a girl!
Movement: Not Yet.
Food Cravings/Aversions: I have more food aversions than Cravings. The first 10 weeks I didn't want to eat anything I had to chew. I didn't even want to look at meat! Now my appetite is coming back but I can't handle chicken broth or big chunks of chicken unless it's in a casserole. I also don't want to eat red meat! I don't want to eat sweets either. I like spicy, salty and sour.
What I miss: Nothing.
Sleep: I'm sleeping great! I'm still on my belly but that is about to change! I would sleep better if I didn't get up four times a night to go to the bathroom!
Symptoms: I had some slight spotting this week along with cramping. My doctor says my uterus has been stretched out, cut up and shrunk so it's going through a lot this time around and that was the cause of the spotting and cramping. I am very nauseous in the evenings. I take one Zofran a day to help with my evening sickness. During the day I have a lot of energy though so I'll take being sick at night!
Best Moment of the Week: We had an ultrasound on Monday, I love seeing our baby. You could see the eye sockets and it now has a chin. We also had my regular OB appointment on Tuesday and we got to hear the heartbeat. There is no better sound!
What I look forward to: Planning the Nursery.
The End.
