Florida: Day 3

Tuesday we went to the Gulfarium. It is just two seconds from our condo so we thought we should stop by and we needed a day out of the sun!

Lucy loved posing by the displays.
We saw a seal show.
Lucy has brought her George and purse everywhere with her on this trip. I think they are her security blanket!
Mommy and Lucy by the live reef.
Lucy face to face with a dolphin.
Lucy loved this dolphin. She showed it her George Monkey and the dolphin tried to take it through the glass! Lucy thought this was hilarious.
On a serious note: We won't be going back to animal shows. Yes it was a neat show. Yes we got to see a dolphin up close and personal but after reading this article listed below I don't think we will be back. Dolphins belong in the wild and if we want to see them I guess we will go on a dolphin cruise!

After the aquarium we went to Hogs Breath in Destin to eat BBQ. Then we went back to the condo to enjoy the sunshine and the pool!

We decided to go out for dinner and choose to eat just down the street at the Crab Trap. It was good. Lucy and Jonathan both had the crablegs. It was funny watching Lucy play with her legs. My favorite part about eating out is getting dessert to go so when I get home and in my pjs I can eat it in bed! Jonathan and I both got a slice of Key Lime Pie. It was delicious.

George went to dinner too.

Florida: Day 2

Day 2: We spent the day relaxing between the beach and the pool. Lucy loves to swim!

What a pretty little girl!
Me and my love.
Lucy loved riding the waves.
She also loved making a sandcastle.

The day in the sun will wear even the wildest of bears out.

Vacation: Day 1

We left Saturday morning and drove all day to our vacation destination of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida! We are so excited about our first family vacation of just the three of us! Lucy is having a blast and is loving the ocean and the pool!

Day 1

We woke up early to a beautiful sunny day. Lucy was ready to go as soon as she got up! I fixed a breakfast of pancakes.
After breakfast we got ready to go to the beach.

We picked the right time of year for a beach vacation. The weather is wonderful and there is nobody here! I love having the beach to ourselves.

This year Lucy loves the sand. Two years ago when we were here she couldn't stand it!
Mommy and Lucy playing in the sand.

We spent the entire day outside. We came in at 4. I immediately made dinner. Lucy was in bed by 5:30! I don't think we made it too much longer!

Lucy

This is a crazy picture of Lucy. Yes, she is sitting in the sink! She is wearing the cutest little MJ dress today and I kept trying to get her picture in it but she wouldn't let me! Good things it is big enough for her to wear next year maybe I'll be able to get a picture of her in it. I've been a bad blogger this week and I have no excuse unless you count laziness and procrastination.

Family Weekend.

This weekend we had a lot of Jonathan's family come up for the Razorback game. This included Cookie and Bapaw, Aunt Delta, Uncle Dennis and Baby Asher, Mamaw Vel and Papaw Wayne, Uncle Dan and Kelly, Aunt Barbara and Uncle Bob. Friday night we ate at one of our favorite local restaurants in Bentonville, Tusk and Trotter.

Asher liked it.
Lucy was too cool for school in her new princess sun glasses.
Saturday we tailgated in the rain.
It wasn't the best day for a tailgate but the food was good and the company was better.

I hope I was in the middle of saying something and I don't sit around with my mouth open.

I love this little girl.
and who could forget this little guy.

Lucy Speaks Again.

Lucy: Mama, get the button off my back!
Me: What button?
Lucy: Right here! (Lucy bends over to reveal her bony spine)
Me: Lucy that is your spine not a button.
Lucy: Get it off, it hurts me!

Apparently while closing the fridge with her booty she hit her "button" too!

Lucy Speaks.

Story of the day.

Lucy was doing something naught and I asked her if she needed a spanking. She replied, "Mama, don't say that again! (while waving a finger at me) That makes me so sad. That does not make me happy.!"

Mops and Socks

Today my friend Marci and I went to our first MOPS meeting. I think we are going to like it. It is a good place to meet other stay at home mama's with kids our kids ages. The meeting was held at cross church in Springdale.

This little girl had a blast in the nursery. I was very impressed with their children's wing and so was Lucy!

Lucy and I re bandaged
Whitney's foot this morning and put a little Lucy sock on her to keep the bandage on. Surprisingly she kept it on all day.

Autumn was feeling a little left out I should have put a sock on her too.
It was a good day.

Repeat.

This is a funny picture from last Friday. Lucy and Emma riding a pony together.
It has nothing to do with today other than I wanted to put it on my blog.

Today was a rinse and repeat kind of day. Lucy had school this morning and I went to springdale with Laura to do some pictures. I picked Lucy up from school and we went home did lunch. I tried to get her to take a nap because I was tired but she wasn't having it! So I decided to pick up. I started with my room, moved to the bathroom, then the kitchen and then Lucy's room. Lucy's room was a mess. I picked it up, made her bed and then I decided I needed to clean the carpets. So I did. Then I decided to clean my carpets so I did. While I was cleaning I could hear Lucy screaming, "Get out of my roomie!" I went to see what the fuss was and my Whitney dog had broken a toenail and had bled all over the house and landed in Lucy's room where it looked like she did circles all over the room.

Lucy and I doctored Lucy up. The best thing to do when you have a broken dog toe nail and it won't stop bleeding- Apply Flour! It stops the bleeding. We wrapped it in gauze and taped her up. I put one of Lucy's socks on her too. After Whiney was fixed I had to go reclean the carpets and mop the den and kitchen. It was a crazy stream of events!

That's our day. I didn't take any pictures other than this one of Lucy's room and the blood stains.
It doesn't do it justice. It was everywhere.

Lucy Speaks.

2 stories.

This is a bathroom story.
1. Jonathan was going to the bathroom. Lucy walked by and thought it was a little strange that he was standing up. She then said, "Daddy, why are you teeteeing in your pants!". When he explained that boys use the potty standing up she said, "Daddy you need to sit down to go teetee." I bet he will close the door next time he has to go.

2. When we put Lucy to bed last night she wanted some juice. Jonathan brought her some water to go to bed with. Lucy drank a sip and said this is not juice. We explained she needed to drink water at night. I finished tucking her in and she looked at me and in the sweetest little voice said, "Mama, will you add a little more juice to my water." Nice try little girl.

Bible Study, Sausage and Dressing up.

Today was our first womens bible study at church today. I was nervous that no one would show up but we had a good turn out and I heard that there would be more next week. I want to extend an invitation to anyone who reads this blog in the Bentonville area to come join us. We are studying Jesus the one and only by Beth Moore and we are just on the first lesson. It is a wonderful opportunity for fellowship and digging deeper into the Word. It's at First United Methodist Church in Bentonville and we meet from 9-11. There is childcare and food. Message me if you are interested.

Speaking of food. I made my moms sausage casserole for snack today and it was delicious. We are also eating it for dinner because there were leftovers!
After bible study I picked Lucy up from school, which she loves, and we headed home to play outside. Lucy changed out of her school clothes and dressed herself in this ensemble.
From top to bottom. A cowboy hat, rubber gloves, a zutano lion dress inside out and backwards and zebra pants and to finish it off a pair of slippers.

This brings so much comfort to my heart. If something happens to me at least she can dress herself! I've already given Jonathan permission to remarry if I die because they are going to need the help. I feel sorry for that lady!

Lucy Speaks.

If I don't write it I'll never remember it.

I fixed something for Lucy and she yelled, "Yeah Mama, your a BIG GIRL!"

Sometimes I ask Lucy to go get something and sometimes she does it and sometimes she responds , "No mama, my legs are broken." Or "No, My arms are broken."

Her new phrase is "No WAY"

GrassHopper= House Hopper

She likes to say, "Watch, I shake my bottom." -She loves to shake her booty. She told her dad she learned it from me. I want to clarify that we don't sit at home and shake our booties.

She knows how to spell her name. L-U-C-Y = Lucy Bost. Sometimes she will spell it and say L-U-C-Y, mama bost.

When I go to brush her hair she says, "Brush it gentle". She has a tender head like her mama.

I'll have to ask Jonathan for some more. She has really turned into a real live person with her speech. She carries on conversations with us and tells us stories. I can't believe my baby girl is big enough to do that.

First Day of School.

Today was Lucy's first day of Preschool. I don't know who was more excited about school starting Lucy or me. She had a wonderful time at school and I had a very productive morning. It's going to be a good year!

Sunday and Monday.

Jonathan and I have signed up to teach the 3 year old Sunday school until the new year. We are excited to teach these little kids about god's love. We have a good group of kids this year. Most are the same kids Laura and I taught last year.

Monday. We went to have dinner with my parents and to see the Coble's babies. All four of them.

This is Addison. She loves her Aunt Mary.
This is Preston. He loves his Aunt Mary too.
This is the Coble Family. All Six of them.
This is Emma Grace and Lucy. They love each other like sisters, mainly because they don't have to see each other everyday.
This is G-Daddy and Preston.
