Henry David- 1 Month
(I haven't decided how I'm going to document his monthly pictures so I did a few)
Date: June 8, 2012
Age: 1 Month
Weight: 11 pounds (mommy's measurements)
Length: 22.5 inches (mommy's measurements)
Head: 14.75 inches
Clothes: You are now wearing 0-3 month clothes. You've outgrown your up to 7 pounds clothes and your 5-9 pound clothes! You are also wearing a size 1 diaper!
Schedule: You wake up at 5:30-6 and eat then sleep from 6:30-9. You eat, have a little awake time and sleep until 12. Eat again once you get up and sleep again until 3. I've been keeping you up from 3-5 or 6. Then you get a bath and mommy feeds you and we rock to sleep. You usually sleep until 9 or 11. Eat and straight back to sleep. You sleep until 230 to 4:30 sometimes 5:30 or 6. If you get up at 4:30 then you are back up at 5:30.
Menu: You are exclusively breastfed.
Temperament/Personality: You are the sweetest baby. You love to cuddle and mommy takes full advantage of this! You are great with strangers and let anyone hold you.
Likes: Cuddling, Eating, Love being swaddled, your swing, your mommy, your sound machine, loud noises, the vacuum, a pacifier every once in a while, your sister and her loudness! If you are a little fussy I can send Lucy to sing or talk to you and you just silently watch her.
Dislikes: Wet Diapers! You hate to have a wet diaper!
Happenings: You aren't doing much yet. You have started moving your head around when we lay you on your tummy but mainly you like to sleep.
Outings: Your first month you have been to mommy's Dr., your Dr. twice, Target, Sams, Walmart, the splash park, a wedding, Bonefish, the farm, two play dates, Fayetteville shopping adventure and Rick's Bakery. I'm sure you've been more places but these are the places mommy can remember.
Dr. Report: You are growing great! You are perfect! You spit up once or twice a day but the Dr. doesn't think much about it especially since it doesn't bother you. You are what he called a "Happy Spitter."
Note From Mommy:
A year ago mommy was so sad because she wasn't pregnant. I was so sad because we had been trying for 6 months and I didn't know why this time we were having trouble getting pregnant after getting pregnant without even trying with Lucy. I was missing something. I wasn't patient but I was prayerful. I prayed for 8 months for a baby. I didn't realize what God was working on. I didn't understand why it was taking him so long to do his part. I was doing everything I knew to do and I didn't like the fact that I had to wait on Him and HIS TIMING. Now I understand. God was working on my little boy. My perfect curly headed little boy. He could have given me any child in the world but he gave me you. And you are perfect. You are perfect in my eyes and in His. When I heard your first little cry my heart was instantly healed and I knew that now my family was complete. That empty void was filled.
You are now one month old and you have been the biggest blessing. You are such a good baby. You sleep a lot and you love to eat. You aren't doing much yet and I love it. You are just a baby and I'm not in a hurry for you to grow up.
Your Mommy, Daddy and Big Sister Love you so much!
