Valentine's Day

The kids and I made special Valentine's for Lucy's school and for our Sunday school valentine party. Lucy wrote her name on a lot of valentine cards to hand out!

We put together a goody box for the kids with a valentine.

Henry handed out mum-mums to his baby friends.

We went to a Valentine party at the church. Lucy liked the story.

Rhea Lana

This year was my first time to participate in the rhea lana sale. I have been cleaning out baby things as we out grow them and decided to consign just a few! It feels good to get this stuff out of my house, make a little more money then I would if I had consigned at a store, and to get to shop early at the sale.

Here are a few of my finds...
1 janie and jack outfit
1 gorman and sons jacket
1 bailey boys white peter pan collar shirt
1 orient expressed khaki overalls
1 zu short all
1 anavini short all
1 leather sandles

3 Kelly kids dresses
1 Lily Pulitzer pants
1 gymboree sweat suit- $2.50
1 tea romper
1 juicy couture sweat suit.
1 gymboree bathing suit- $2

I also bout a tube the kids can crawl through, a v-tech turtle toy, a push walker, a penguin punching bag, and  three puzzles.

On all this stuff I spent a little under $100. That's a good deal if you ask me!

He can be...

At the dotmom conference Priscilla Shirer emphasized to do what you can and Jesus will do what you can't. When I run out of my best He can pick up the slack. So today I've been relying on Jesus to get me through the day.

He has been my energy.
 He has been my provider.
 He has been my encourager.
 He has been my rest.
 He has been my teacher.
 He has been my patience....

This weekend I attended the dotMom conference if Frisco, TX with two new friends. I am thankful for my husband that he would take a half day and watch our kids on Friday and all day on Saturday. BY HIMSELF! He did an excellent job and I'm so proud of my sweet little family for surviving without me. This weekend was everything I needed, I needed to spend some time away from my kids, I needed to worship loudly, I needed to listen to intelligent people about raising kids, I needed to speak to adults and  I needed to go out to eat with people who didn't need me to feed them and didn't rub their food on me!

I learned so much from the speakers and from the breakout sessions! I loved hearing Angie Smith, Vicky Courtney and my favorite Priscilla Shirer speak!

Lucy Speaks...

I got on to Lucy for leaving some little toys out where Henry could get them. I might be a little dramatic but I told her if he eats them then HE WILL CHOKE AND HE WILL DIE! After saying this she responded, "Whew, that was a close one!"

We were all in the car and Jonathan was driving and Lucy shouted from the back, "Hey Dad, will you give mom a couple of driving lessons."

Jonathan has bringing Lucy to school in the morning. One day last week I picked Lucy up and I asked how she liked going to school  with daddy. She said, "mom, a tractor got in front of us and was going real slow and they threw dirt on my dads car and (then she whispered) my dad said a bad word to them"....
I told Jonathan this story and he said, "I can't believe she would throw me under the bus."

A little boy yelled for Lucy to watch him while Jonathan was droping her off and Lucy watched and yelled back, "you look like a baby." - not in a mean way just a I'm not impressed with you way.

The other day Lucy said, "I don't like FREAKY boys, I like Cute boys." I told her 1. Don't say Freaky. 2. Don't like boys at all.
