Our Week.

This week we are busy with swim lessons. I am very impressed with Lucy's swimming ability. I'm busy researching places to take year round swim lessons for next year. I'm trying not to load Lucy up with too many activities but I'd like her to do soccer, swim lessons and maybe dance next year. And church choir. Is that too many activities?

My messy kids.
Actually I think Henry may have a type- A gene. Today I said I needed to put up my shoes and when I went to my closet he followed me carrying another pair of shoes. Also at dinner, he finished his yogurt and stuffed all his leftover chicken in the carton. Lastly, he cleans up his blocks! Lucy has never once cleaned up after herself. Maybe she can pay her brother to clean up her room. That's what I did growing up!

Crazy kids.

Lucy got out of the shower this morning and came out wearing her dads pjs and said, "Hey, I'm Mr. Jonathan."
Henry is a 75% walker these days. He still likes to push his walker but he does really well by himself too. Can you believe how big he looks?

Play-dates and Popsicle's.

We had a play-date this past week with our new friend Evan and his sweet mama. I'm really thankful for new friendships!

Henry has two molars coming in and to help relieve some pain we ate Popsicle's and then brushed all the sugar off with our toothbrush!

We have been through a trying week with dog. Autumn had surgery last week and then she ripped all of her stitches out because our vet didn't send us home with a cone for her. I'm about done with this dog.

Lucy stories.

Lucy usually goes to bed at 6. By the end of the day we are tired. She goes from the second she wakes up to the second she lays down. So an early bedtime is a must. Sure, she asks why the sun is still out and why the kids across the street aren't going to bed yet but I figure until she starts to tell time I can send her to bed any time I want. (Insert mean mom laugh here)

Tonight I put Lucy to bed. The last thing she asked was for her daddy to come give her a kiss when he got home. I said, "Ok." Usually I don't send Jonathan up but tonight I insisted that he go kiss her goodnight. We went into her room and couldn't find her. I looked in her tent and she wasn't there. I looked in her closet and under the bed, she wasn't there either. I saw that the door to the bathroom was open. The bathroom connects to her brother's room and guess what?! That door was open too....

Look where I found her....

We went to the zoo last week and they had a petting zoo area for the kids. Lucy got to pet a pig. I don't know if you have ever pet a pig before but they have very thick wire like hair. Lucy pet the pig and said this fills just like my dad. (haha) Sunday, after church we said what did you learn during sunday school. She said, "I don't know but I told my teacher my dad was a pig." What? "Yeah my dad's hair is just like a pigs hair."

My favorite story: Lucy told me tonight that I was the smartest because I know everything about everything. Then she told me that Daddy was a little bit smart because he only knew about computers and minecraft....
I'm glad my knowledge of friends trivia and spice recognition has not gone unnoticed.

5 Things I splurge on...

I'm cheap. I love a bargain. I'd rather get 5 things on sale than one full price item. There are a few things I will splurge on. Here's my list:

Horizon Organic milk or organic milk. It's expensive, $4 for half a gallon or $6.50 to 7.50 a gallon. But to me it is worth to money to get hormone free milk for me and my kids.

I also try to buy all natural meat. Worth the money.

K-cups. My in-laws got us a kuerig machine for a housewarming present and we have enjoyed the k-cups. My favorite are the coconut mocha and english toffee.
Makeup. I've skimped on makeup before and it is not worth it! You only get one face be picky about what you put on it! I use Merle Norman. I love the coverage and that it last all day.
Also, Don't skimp on haircuts. I tried. Don't do it.

Kid Shoes. Stride Rite. I've tried to buy cheap shoes but you actually save more money by buying good quality that will last a whole season.

Art Camp.

Lucy has Art Camp this week. I wanted to get a picture of her with her brother since they coordinated. Easier said than done...

Weekend Fun.

We've had fun the past couple of days! We have had a play date at the mall with friends and this Saturday we got to get away to Bonham, Tx for a church get together.

Lucy at the mall.
 Henry at the mall.

Bonham, Tx. Lucy loved playing with her new friend Evan. He is two years younger than her and followed her everywhere. She loved it!

Fort Worth Zoo

Wednesday we loaded up and headed to the zoo. We picked up our favorite gal and made a day out of it.

Manna and Lucy

At the zoo we ran across some zookeepers at the elephant exhibit. I asked Lucy if she had any questions for them and she said, "Yes I do." She walked over to them and said, "Hey, do you have any Jaguars? Where are they!?"

 Lucy's favorite Jaguar.
 My precious boy.
 Henry loves his Manna.
