Phone Pictures

Here are some pictures from my phone.

Henry chowing down on a rib bone... nature's pacifier.
Big boy smiling
Lucy helping me peel a carrot. She whittled them down to nothing!
Henry pulls up on everything! Lucy is usually right there behind him in case he falls!
We are practicing using a sippy cup. Henry is not real good at tipping it up to drink so I lay him down and he can do it all by himself.
Lucy loves her brother
I made Christmas ornaments of the kids hand and feet prints. First I did Lucy's hand and then Henry's hand. Then I decided I wanted Henry's foot print too. Lucy said, "Mom, why do you not want my foot print." I didn't want to tell her there was nothing cute about a size 12 foot so we made a print of her foot as well!
Just because I love this little guy! He's so sweet when he raises his little eye brows

Other kid news. Henry hates to nurse. I'll lay him down to nurse and he arches his back and screams bloody murder. He also pushes away from me. The only time I can nurse him is in the morning and in the middle of the night. I went from nursing him 6 times a day to 2-3 times. My mommy heart is sad because he is my baby  and I wanted to nurse him to a year like I did Lucy. But I am excited about finally losing the last of the baby weight and wearing a real bra!!

2 week Catch Up

I didn't mean to take a two week blogging break but I did... So this is my attempt to catch up.

What have we been doing?
Spending time together. We've done a few fun things with the kids. We went to Bass Pro shop last weekend and then to Dave and Busters to let Lucy play the games! She loved both adventures. This weekend Jonathan's parents came into town and watched the kids so we could have a date night! I started a bible study on Wednesday that I am loving. I love to get to know other moms who are in the same season that I am and that are passionate about the LORD!

Henry-
Pulls up on everything! Started saying Dada. Waves Hello. Thinking about signing more and all done. I keep throwing out the signs and he starts moving his hands...

Lucy-
Busy with school. Learning sight words. Her favorite word is But... She whispers it because we aren't allowed to say that word. We've had two different play dates this week and she loved every minute of it!

Now to the pictures...
Henry waving Hi!

Henry Eats.

I have a series called Lucy Speaks where I write about things Lucy says that I want to remember. I think Henry should have a series called Henry Eats because well, that is his favorite thing to do! I've started making my own baby food because 1. It is easy 2. He was eating $5 a day in baby food everyday! 3. I'm cheap!

I've found you can throw anything in the food processor and he will eat it! Also did you know if you stick regular oatmeal in the food processor and chop it up it becomes baby oatmeal. Just a suggestion! We have also started eating table food. Just some easy things he can mash up and feed himself. So far he has tried bananas, avocados and orzo.
I use to feel bad for my kids for being 4 years apart in age. I was afraid they would never play with each other. Well they love each other and they may go through times where they don't but I think in the long run they will be best buddies.

But while some kids closer in age will be playing together my oldest is feeding her brother.

Arkadelphia Christmas.

We traveled to Arkadelphia the weekend after Christmas to spend time with Jonathan's family and to attend The Bost Family Get together. We love to get together with family. It's nice to visit and to have extra hands with the kids.

The original 4 grew to 10 this year.
Aunt Delta, Uncle Dennis, Asher and Baby Harper
Papaw and his boys, Henry and Asher.
Lucy and her doll that Mamaw Vel and Papaw Wayne gave her. She was so excited!
Papaw and 3 of the 4.

Here's #4. Harper Susanna. She's a pretty little girl. She looks a lot like her mama!
Papaw, Cookie and Henry saying their goodbyes.
And this is my favorite because they are all looking and smiling!
We had a wonderful time and can't wait until our next visit!

New Year. New Goals.

New Year. New Goals. Clean Slate.

1. Lose 10-15 pounds. (10 pounds=pre pregnancy weight/15=wedding weight)
- I just had a baby. I thought if I only gained 20 pounds I would have it off by my 6 week appointment. By my 6 week appoinment I had 6 pounds to go. I've been gaining weight ever since. Breastfeeding makes me hungry, people says it helps them lose weight, well it makes me gain weight even when I keep my calories around the 1500-2000 range. I'd like to have the weight off by Henry's birthday.

2. Date my husband. My goal is to schedule 1 date per month with no kids. Doesn't sound like a lot? We have been on one date in the past 8 months and that was to a wedding.

3. Start running again. I downloaded a couch to 10k program. I started running a week ago but then it snowed and I haven't done it again. So start over and run a 10K.

That's it. Maybe I'll add to it.
