The Cobles (my sister and family) have officially moved to Texas! The truck arrives today. I am so excited and thankful to have them close!
Last week, I started back to the gym. This week, I am very, very sore. I hate that I have to start over on my strength building. Mainly because I don't like to be sore!
Last week I showed off my stack of books. This week I read two of them. I know, I know. I should get an award. I have now read a total of 3 books this year... I've started another one this week on parenting and I'm loving it!
Books I completed. I loved both of these.
(This is more a story than a favorite.)
Yesterday, Jonathan and I drove to Dallas to see our Nuero-oncologist for his monthly check-up. Which went great! After the appointment, I drove him to work and dropped him off. After I dropped him off I decided I would go to the Plano goodwill. It's in the ghetto and always has the best stuff. Well, It was the most expensive trip I've ever taken to goodwill. On my way, I got pulled over by the PO-lice.
Mary: Hello, officer. What's the problem?
Officer: You were going 60 in a 45.
Mary: Oh, I wasn't aware of the speed limit. I've never been on this side of
ghetto Plano before. I was just dropping my husband off at work after our Nuero-oncology appointment, for his brain cancer.
(Yes, I used my brain cancer card!)
Officer: I'm sorry to hear that.
Mary: Are you sure you have to give me a ticket?
Officer: Yes, sign here....
I'm 95% sure that 16 year old Mary could have gotten out of that ticket. She was a lot perkier than 31 year old Mary.
In my defense, he caught me coming off of 75 where the speed limit is 70. I was just transitioning to 45. Actually, I didn't know the speed limit. But in Frisco, the parkway is 55. This is why I don't go south of Lebanon.
God is bigger than this and Jesus can fix-it.
