I'm most thankful that we can sleep in for a week because there is no school. Sure sleeping in these days is until 7!
2. Christmas Shopping
I ordered everything from amazon. I am ready to wrap! Our kids Christmas present this year is a trip to Disney World so we didn't do much for gifts other than that. (Do not tell them about their trip. It is a surprise.)
3. Jesse Tree
I have started crafting my Jesse tree ornaments for this year's box. I am in charge of Noah's ark. I am copying something I found from pinterest that looked awesome but requires a lot of sewing skills. I have never sewed. I watched a YouTube video on how to blanket stitch and every ark gets better and better!
You can learn anything from YouTube. Things I've learned: how to whip/nae-nae, fix a clogged garbage disposal, cut little boys hair, man haircuts, sewing, flash freezing, decorate a Christmas tree with mesh, how to patch a hole, contour makeup, eye-shadow tutorial, and I'm sure there are others. There's no excuses these days- everything is on YouTube- you can do anything!
I've been listening to Christmas on Pandora. I'm ready for Christmas. Last week I was not in the mood for Christmas when I was decorating and this week I keep sneaking more and more Christmas out of the closet. I'm suddenly in the mood.
Y'all know about my unhealthy obsession with books. Well I went to half price books yesterday and found a slew of books on the $2 shelf. They were all about praying. So, I had to buy them... Now I have to get to reading... I might have 25 books lined up to read. Maybe my goal for 2016 is to read more and not to buy books.
God is bigger than this and Jesus can fix-it.
